Between October 19 and 22, a group of national and international journalists visited Seville and its metropolitan area to experience first-hand its potential as a destination for investment, innovation, and culture. The initiative, entitled “Seville, Your Province to Invest in Southern Europe,” was organized by the Seville Provincial Council, through Prodetur, together with Sevilla City One, Metropolis of Southern Europe.
Over several days, participants toured some of the most representative sites of Seville’s economic and technological ecosystem, while also enjoying its rich historical and cultural heritage. Media outlets such as The Independent, Le Figaro, France 24, Maghreb Arabe Presse, iNews, RTP Mundo, and Financiero TV, among others, took part in this second edition of the familiarization trip, aimed at projecting Seville’s image as a dynamic, outward-looking territory.
At an institutional dinner held during the event, Prodetur’s Vice President, Rodrigo Rodríguez Hans, highlighted the strength of Seville’s industrial sector and its ability to attract high value-added international projects. He also emphasized the role of small and medium-sized enterprises as “examples of innovation, digitalization, and resilience,” and noted that Seville leads Andalusian exports in 2025, exceeding €5 billion and posting a significant trade surplus.
Meanwhile, Rafael Miranda, President of Sevilla City One, stressed the project’s metropolitan and sustainable vision: “This Fam Trip has made it possible to showcase a competitive Seville, connected to innovation and committed to its history and environment.” He also recalled that the city’s designation as one of Europe’s climate-neutral cities by 2030 places Seville at a decisive moment full of opportunities.
During the program, journalists visited industrial, technological, and cultural hubs that reflect the diversity and dynamism of the territory. The experience combined meetings with business representatives and visits to historic landmarks, reinforcing Seville’s image as a modern, attractive metropolis with strong international projection.
From Sevilla City One, we would like to sincerely thank all the journalists who took part in this Fam Trip for their interest, professionalism, and enthusiasm in discovering the present and future of our city and province. Their perspective helps continue telling the world why Seville is increasingly becoming the great metropolis of southern Europe.
