Representatives of Sevilla City One held a meeting with the President and CEO of the World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC), a body that represents the private sector of the global tourism industry.
During the meeting, they discussed the impact of the global Hotel Sustainability Basics initiative, designed by the organisation to promote the protection of the environment and communities. During the first year of this initiative, WTTC has consolidated its leadership in the industry towards a more sustainable future, with the support of more than 30 countries, including Spain.
The Seville City One initiative, Metropolis of Southern Europe, originally came from civil society with the common goal of positioning Seville as a benchmark for more efficient and sustainable urban growth, in compliance with climate neutrality by 2030, which is why it shows its interest in deepening initiatives that promote environmental protection, such as Hotel Sustainability Basics, for Seville and its metropolis.
